● In June, signed off a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA).
● Signed off a Letter of Intent (LOI) with 6 major retailers in Taiwan, including 7-11, Family Mart, Hi-Life, Carrefour, OK mart, and RT Mart, to prioritize recognition of TQF Certified Products, by adopting the concept of "Co-governance among Food Industries".
● In September, “Taiwan Quality Food Certification Scheme Version 1.1” was published.
● In June, at 2015 Food Taipei exhibition, the Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs officially transferred "GMP Certification Mark" and "Food-GMP Management System" to the Taiwan Quality Food Association which is an independent private sector organization operated under the supervision of the independent third-party organization.
● In May, the “Taiwan Quality Food Certification Scheme Version 1.0” was published and implemented in June.
● In May, Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) has become the Accreditation Body (AB) for the independent third-party certification system of TQF Certification Scheme.
● In March, Bonnie Sun Pan, Chair Professor of National Taiwan Ocean University, was elected as the 8th Chairman of the Board.
● In March, “Taiwan Food GMP Association" transformed into "Total Quality Food Association (TQFA)". In addition to the primary membership, the food manufacturers, TQFA also embraced retailers, raw material suppliers, and consumer groups to be included to the scope of the general membership.

Government Promotion of Food GMP

1983-1988

● Food GMP Standard had been promoted for 10 years.
● “Alcohol & liquor” Specific Provision was established, and the food sector of certification had reached 26 categories.
● In September, Fei-lung Chen, the Chairman of Namchow Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. was elected as the 2nd Chairman of the board.
● In June, the “Compilation of the Rules and Regulations of Food GMP Certification System” was revised for the 2nd time, integrating the advantages of the ISO certification system and the HACCP system, so that it could cover 4 major areas: quality management, hygiene management, process management, and management system.
● In May, the “China Food GMP Association” was established, to integrate the strength of FBOs, actively cooperate with the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Food GMP Implementation Project Team, and promote the food GMP certification system.
● Wen-Lin Tsai, The Chairperson of Mama Tart Corp., was elected as the 1st Chairman of the board.
● In June, the “Compilation of the Rules and Regulations of Food GMP Certification System” was revised for the 1st time, expanding the food sector of certification to 25 categories, to cover various industries in the overall food industry.
● “China Grain Products Research & Development Institute” was recognized as the 2nd CB of the Food GMP Certification System.
● “Food Industry Research and Development Institute” was recognized as the 1st Certification Body (CB) of the Food GMP Certification System.
● Accepted Food Business Operator (FBO) to apply for Food GMP Certification.
● In May, the “Compilation of the Rules and Regulations of Food GMP Certification System” was published, including 1 general requirement and 15 technical requirements, with 16 categories of food sector of certification in total.
● In February, the Ministry of Economic Affairs published the “Food Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) implementation plan”, and the Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs invited relevant units of the central government, to establish the " Food GMP Implementation Project Team " and began to promote the "Food GMP Certification System ".
● The Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs compiled a 3-year project, based on powdered infant food, to establish the GMP technical requirements for infant formula, and to develop food GMP promotion methods and related regulations.
● The National Construction Committee instructs the Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs to introduce the American GMP system, guide the food industry to implement the food GMP quality assurance system and improve the level of food manufacturing.

Public / Private Partnership

1989-2014

● Promoting Food GMP enhanced program, the sector of certification embraced all products in the same category.
● In December, Bonnie Sun Pan, the Chair Professor of National Taiwan Ocean University, was by-elected as the 7th Chairman of the Board.
● In November, Ying-Chung Wei, the Chairperson of the Wei Chuan Foods Co., was elected as the 7th Chairperson.
● In January, Food GMP-certified products were recognized by “MIT(made in Taiwan) Smiling Products 2nd Category Certification System”.
● “Food Additive” Specific Provision was established, and the certified product categories of GMP certification had reached 28.
● Food GMP Standard had been established for 20 years.

● In November, the “China Food GMP Association” was renamed as “Taiwan Food GMP Association”.

● To enhance the self-responsibility and engagement of the certified site, the “Food GMP Certification Program” was renamed as “Food GMP Certification System”, and transferred from governmental promotion to public and private cooperated promotion.
